Questions about Dip.GO Course
Trainees on the Dip.GO programme undergo two years of clinical work, guided by Fellow Guides at a recognised hospital. This training encompasses all aspects of routine primary care and therapeutics in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The programme is structured as a two-year residency with a stipend provided to the candidates. It offers substantial practical experience, complemented by thorough theoretical learning.
Upon completion of the Dip.GO course, candidates are qualified to independently practise Obstetrics & Gynaecology, which includes conducting LSCS procedures. Training in MTP is also provided at FPAI, Calcutta. However, it is important to note that endoscopic surgery is not part of this course.
The programme operates on a biannual cycle:
- Cycle I commences in January and has a duration of 2 years.
- Cycle II starts in July, also extending over a 2-year period.
Questions about DRCH Course
Candidates enrolled in the DRCH course will receive training for one year under a Fellow Guide at a recognised hospital or Nursing Home. During this period, they will engage in regular clinical activities, such as working in the OPD, assisting in surgeries, conducting normal deliveries, performing episiotomy repairs, providing routine post-operative care, and offering contraception counselling and services. This training instils considerable confidence in candidates, who subsequently can start their own clinics and practise routine obstetrics & gynaecology as primary care physicians. However, it is important to note that MTP is not included in this training.
The programme is structured in two cycles:
- Cycle I runs from 1st June to 31st May, lasting for 1 year.
- Cycle II spans from 1st December to 30th November, also for a duration of 1 year.

Trainees on the Dip.CH programme undergo two years of clinical work under the supervision of Fellow Guides at a recognised hospital. The training emphasises value-based education and patient care, in line with the guiding principles of NARCHI. The course offers substantial practical experience, supported by comprehensive theoretical materials. It encompasses all facets of routine primary care and therapeutics in Paediatrics, including detailed training in Immunisation. This course equips participants with advanced skills for better health care delivery to patients.
Upon completion of the course, candidates are qualified to practise independently in Paediatrics across India.
Questions about CRCH Course
This certificate course is designed to impart practical knowledge in paediatrics to aspiring Ayush doctors, enabling them to serve in rural areas effectively. The primary focus of these courses is on rural child health, addressing the problems encountered and methods to mitigate them at the grassroots level. Conducted by well-reputed Fellow Guides in recognised paediatric hospitals, this one-year training equips trainees comprehensively with the essentials of rural child health, encompassing basic needs, prevention, advanced services, and skill enhancement for improved medical practice. The programme also includes training in managing rural emergencies, such as snake bites, animal bites, fractures, and drowning. The National Immunisation Programme is an integral part of the curriculum.
